I love ReeRee’s curls (as every person on the street has commented, too).
But with curls, comes this. Knots, rats, rat’s nests, tangles…
No matter how much detangler, conditioner, wet hair vs dry hair, the bed head is a terrible thing to brush out. Tears and more tears. We usually just let her go wild-haired, but sometimes the tangles turn matty.
Grandma bought this- a Knot Genie.
Newt said it looked like the curry combs he uses to brush the horses’ hair coats.
And it works better than a comb. Newt actually broke two combs brushing ReeRee’s hair. The Knot Genie is still intact, as is ReeRee’s scalp.
The Genie works the best when: curls are conditioned, detangler is sprayed on twice, comb, more detangler, more conditioner, rinse, and comb out the stubborn, snarly knots.
Ours is a small and fits into the palm of your hand. (Unless your hand is covered in slippery condition and then -BOOM- the Genie archs into the air.)
While the Knot Genie doesn’t eliminate tears, it certainly produces fewer!
