Poker Face

I can’t keep one- a poker face.  Usually, I am so excited that I got a good hand that I can hardly contain myself.  I’m not good as bluffing either.

I have wonderful hair.  It is thick and wavy and will hold a curl.  My hair is wasted on me, because I can’t do it.  I can pull it back in a ponytail or whip a few curls in the bottom tips.  So I neglected to visit the hair salon for nearly a year and my hair was quite long.  It’s been several years, but it was time to donate again to “Locks of Love”, a charity that makes wigs for cancer kids.

But “Locks of Love” upped the ante from 6 inches to at least 8 inch.  (After Facebooking with friends and succumbing to peer pressure) I called the bluff, and I lost.  I lost 2/3 of my length.  My hair has never been this short.  I love it.  And someone who truly needs it will appreciate it more than I ever did.
